Versificated by Sarah Louise Murphy (AUS) This poem is about an approaching storm. My city of Brisbane has a sub-tropical climate, and we get spectacular, and sometimes severe thunderstorms that often hit late afternoon in the summertime. The days are usually hot and humid, and when the storm rolls in, the barometer drops suddenly and the air becomes static. People start to feel excited and nervous as the storms are unpredictable, but at the same time, a welcome relief.
