Mike Quon / Fin artist / Illustrator

Mike Quon

Mike Quon grew up surrounded by art. His father Milton Quon was an animator for Walt Disney on classics such as Fantasia and Dumbo. His father was one of the original ‘Mad Men Era’ art directors working at BBDO in Los Angeles during the 50s and 60s. Mike graduated from UCLA, where he studied art and design.  While in college, Mike was influenced by his mentors Richard Diebenkorn and pop artist Ed Ruscha. Favorite subjects in his work include urban landscapes and architecture, as well as subject matter from his extensive travels.

A California native, he relocated to NYC in the mid-1970s.  Today he works in the greater New York area... with his home and studio at the top of the Jersey Shore. His favorite mediums include drawings, acrylics, collage and mixed media..... often with bright colors and bold line work.  Mike has had numerous shows, both in this country and abroad.

Over the years, Mike's work has been seen in advertising and promotional campaigns around the world, from Times Square and Giants Stadium, to the Summer Olympics in Australia, World Cup Soccer in Paris and a department store chain in Tokyo. Mike Quon's artwork has made appearances in gallery and museum presentations in New York, Los Angeles, and Paris, as well as in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, The New York Times, The United States Air Force Art Collection and The New York Historical Society.

Mike Quon is represented by several galleries. He is currently completing several fine art projects for a law firm, a software company and a private individual.
